I hate to,say it but it would be good to,see them back in The Premiership. Even though I would rather stick my nuts in a vice than veisit Elland Road as an away supporter again!!Thought we were blowing it again, what a comeback.
Interesting article, Retired professional Ref Keith Hackett who is now an analyst has stated that so far this season bad refereeing decisions have cost Leeds 15 points.
Why?I would rather stick my nuts in a vice than veisit Elland Road as an away supporter again!!
I pooped myself last time - didnt appreciate the hail of bottles and other stuff that came our way. Why?
Poof.I pooped myself last time - didnt appreciate the hail of bottles and other stuff that came our way.
I have been going to Elland road since 1966 & have never seen bottles thrown, there’s actually been very little violence inside the ground.I pooped myself last time - didnt appreciate the hail of bottles and other stuff that came our way.
You weren't in the away section when I was Derek - a nightmare both inside and in particular outside the ground. It was about 1992 from memory.I have been going to Elland road since 1966 & have never seen bottles thrown, there’s actually been very little violence inside the ground.
I arranged for a Leeds supporting workmate to borrow a 'home' season ticket for a Leeds game at Old Trafford.I have witnessed things being thrown by home fans at Stoke, Derby, Middlesborough, Sheffield United, Birmingham, Ipswich, Tottenham, Arsenal, Millwall, Bury (Man u v Leeds reserve match) & Portsmouth, I was attacked on a bus in Portsmouth by a Southampton fan, I was assaulted by a Bradford fan when I was leaving Silver blades ice skating rink..
Never saw bother inside Old Trafford but saw plenty outside both before & after matches.I arranged for a Leeds supporting workmate to borrow a 'home' season ticket for a Leeds game at Old Trafford.
As you would, expect, he kept himself to himself and was probably quite relieved wthat The Reds won.
Why am I telling you this?? He ended up having stitches in his scalp as the result of something being thrown from the away supporters outside the ground.
The irony wasn't lost on him.
The problem with Football referees is they are inconsistent & often tend to favour one team over another, they are also bent, take the Qpr v Leeds game a couple of weeks back, QPR player handles the ball with both hands then scores, later emerges that the Ref is an avid Brentford fan, Brentford were in third place at the time, don’t get me wrong I know that sometimes a ref will favour Leeds, I know for a fact that a linesman at old Trafford for a Man u v Leeds match signalled for a penalty for Leeds (ref over ruled) he also gave offside for a Man U player who was through on goal, the linesman was a Copper with West Yorkshire Police.I think part of the problem is the lack of control during the match - perhaps if the poof footballists listened to the officials and obeyed their decisions, like the Rugby players automatically do, then maybe the crowds wouldn’t react so badly.
Does that include Saracens players?I think part of the problem is the lack of control during the match - perhaps if the poof footballists listened to the officials and obeyed their decisions, like the Rugby players automatically do, then maybe the crowds wouldn’t react so badly.
