Those are usually the aftermarket ones fitted to jacked-up Corsas by spotty wankers.
no, I'm referring to new cars (audi, deranged-rover, bmw and just about every other new car)

I'm surprised that scrolling indicators and flashing brake lights are not MOT failures.
I don't mind the daylight running LEDs as it at least gives you a fighting chance of seeing one of those prats who can't find the main lights switch when it's foggy or dark. What I don't get is why they're don't fit them at the back as well...

It always got my goat when they introduced permanently on lights to bikes, they didn't do the same for cars.

I had something similar on my Merc. However, they only strobe when braking particularly heavily. If someone has epilepsy, I thought they're licence was taken away so they shouldn't be driving anyway.*

*I'm not a doctor. There may be several different types of epilepsy, dunno, but a burd I knew many moons ago had her licence taken away because she was diagnosed with epilepsy. Now, whether it was a temporary thing or if it applied to her 'type' of epilepsy, I don't know. This was back in 1997 and a lot has changed since then.

I know a little about this, keeping it simple if you have not had a seizure for a certain amount of time & are taking medication you are allowed to drive, don't quote me on it but I think its one year, the problem here is that it relies on the person affected being honest about their condition

When we permanently on lights for bikes and no stupid running lights on cars, motorcyclists were visible. Nowadays, we just fade into a sea of lights. Because of that, when I'm on the big Panzer I have the spotlights on at all times.

A couple of bikes have passed me lately with spotlights flashing; not sure of the legality of it but I think it's a good idea.

Also - why are 'parking lights inboard.
It disguises the full width of a car in the dark. Same with indicators.
Should be on the 'corners' for clear sight.

It surprises me the number of cars that have indicators in stupid places. Placing the indicator right next to a headlight, for example, should be feckin' outlawed.

I still don't understand why they can't fit dual red tail lights to bikes.

I had a fog light on the back of both my Birds.

Made me a lot happier in heavy rain.

Yeah, before anyone says it, I know. More interested in not being mown down from behind that whether it is technically legal or not.

IIRC, fog lights are illegal when the visibility exceeds 100 yards.

I am still unconvinced about the use of lights on bikes during the day luckily all of my current bikes have lights I can turn off until its getting dark & I like it that way

To qualify that statement I have been pulled out on many more times on each of the three bikes I owned that had permanent lights in the 3 years I owned them than on the previous (& present) 100+ bikes with lights that turn off, also I have just the once pulled out on a bike myself simply due to not being able to judge the distance or speed because of a very bright bouncing/flashing light

Maybe its because of my previously mentioned slightly light sensitive eyes but I really hate hid or to a lesser extent led lights on vehicles & have spoken to a few more who feel the same way
