On my way in to day following Land Rover who signals right into a works area, fine I move over to the left once he's turned. He stops to talk to another LR wanting to turn out so I stop about 8ft behind him thinking of nipping round if he chats on too long, then he puts the LR into reverse and rams me , I'm OK but I want my bike!!! The other LR was an escort vehicle and told him he was in the way of an artic, I've only been in his mirrors for about mile with hiviz jacket and lights blazing.

His tow bar ran up the tyre and crunched the mudgard, his spare tire killed the nose on the nosecone - grrr.

After all the time I've just spent doing a full service, valve clearences, stearing bearings, fork oil etc.

Don't know if it's just superficial plastics, or if it includes the headlight, subframe and forks, that's all down to insurance.

Angel assistance said they offer bikes for replacement vehicles once the other insurance confirm liability so hopefully it'll be another Bird, or failing that a ZZR14.

And SWMBO called to say I've been let off Jury Service because they have enough.

Bit of a mixed bag today so far.

Thats the trouble with hi-viz, makes you think you are visible! Well, you are to other bikers, and the living, but not to coffin driving corpses! Bunch of arseoles.

And sods law dictates that this would have to happen just after you gave the bird lots of TLC!

You have my deepest sympathies :violin:, I couldn't bear it if anything happend to mine.

I've been very fortunate, this sort of thing hasn't happened to me ..... YET!! But the day it does, I'll teach them corpses a lesson they'll never forget! :bandit:

Hope you sort out some new wheels soon, zzr14?? Tempting, but expensive!

ROCK ON!!!:yo:
