Hopefully Going to the lakes this weekend ..
which is the best place to stay for a couple of nights , we intend to do the quick beginners guide of the area as we havent been before.. somewhere with a few pubs eateries etc

was thinking about the lakes as well next week and was going to use the YHA for cheap accommodation its at most £15 per night including breakfast.
was going to camp but its getting a bit cold now
a good place to be based is ambleside its in the middle of the lakes and some great roads around there.
for roads try the kirkton pass - good pub at the top
and hardknot pass
there are other roads that are good but its been ages since ive been down that way

Nice place with goods rooms, gentle short stroll into Ambleside for evenings beers and feeds.
