In the News Knife crime

I'm sure there was a story in the news, a few years back, about a town somewhere in the States that introduced a local bye-law which required everyone to carry a handgun. The story goes that crime dropped dramatically.

Maybe we should introduce that here.....

Same as football hooligans - I'd like to see those who think it is ok to flash knives all put into one big room and left to,get on with it.

Particularly as I had a gentleman pull a knife on me as I followed him out of a bank branch I was working in after he tried to carry out a fraud. I went back inside rather rapidly....still got his car registration though:campeon:

I have had a knife pulled on me twice now, the first time I took it off him & told him to feck off before it ended up his arse which he did sharpish, the second time (different fella) I took it off him, said the same but chucked it at his feet & dared him to pick it up, he consided how easy I'd took his toy away the first time, declined & made a sharp exit stage left

Mind you, when I was a kid it was perfectly normal to carry a folding pocketknife, no one would ever have thought to use it as a weapon. You'd probably see an armed unit appear if you did that now ....
