Lets be careful out there chaps...there are 3 other photos but i'm not that tech minded to get them on here, so this one sums it up I think !
"The Honda rider was traveling at such a "very high speed", his reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident. Swedish Police estimate a speed of ~250 KM/h (155mph) before the bike hit the slow moving car side-on at an intersection. At that speed, they predicted that the rider's reaction time (once the vehicle came into view) wasn't sufficient enough for him to even apply the brakes. The car had two passengers and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them. The Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact and landed 10 feet from where the collision took place.

All three involved (two in car and rider) were killed instantly. This graphic demonstration was placed at the Stockholm Motorcycle Fair by the Swedish Police and Road Safety Department. The sign above the display also noted that the rider had only recently obtained his license.

At 250 KM (155 mph) the operator is traveling at 227 feet per second. With normal reaction time to SEE-DECIDE-REACT of 1.6 seconds the above operator would have traveled over 363 feet while making a decision on what actions to take. In this incident the Swedish police indicate that no actions were taken. "

I've seen the photo before I think (although not this time!).

If it's the one I think the bike basically ended up inside the car?

Speed doesn't kill but innapropriate speed sure as hell does!

155 where someone could pull out in front of you or you can't see far enough ahead to alow for reaction/braking time is a tad remiss"

At 155mph there would be no bike inside the car, there would total devestation across the road and up in the trees.

2 lads near work on a stolen 600 Bandit hit a parked Micra at approx 50mph, there was shit 100 yards up the road and the car was bannana'd.
Both lads were killed instantly and the bike was unrecogniseable.

Now that is the sort of punishment anyone who steals a bike should get...

"You will headbut a Nissan Micra until you are dead"

Rolls off the tongue dont it.

cant see "the picture", but at a loss to see that stealing a bike requres "the death" penalty!! :dunno: the cutting off of a hand for a first offence maybe :yo: beheading for a third  but unless they killed/maimed someone death on a "first" offence, is a little strong in my opinion!! :dunno:

The punishment should fit the crime. I agree with beheading for stealing a bike. If you cannot hack the punishment don't do the crime. YOU have a choice.

Ok Ian, thinking about it, I was a little harsh.

I suppose that, for a first offence of stealing a Bike ( or motorcycle as some call them) it should be only PARTIAL decapitation.
Then for a second offence take it all off.

Thats a lot more user friendly, and gives the sticky fingered snaggards a second chance g0nn3

Murt, the understanding one.

Yer,, sorry Knighty but this same photo has been attributed to just about every police force in the world at one time ot other.. And although the pic aint showing I seem to remember it was either an old CBR6 or even an RC23 .. canna remember truth be told.. certainly the speed quoted would require a certain amount of bungy straps and possibly a long long drop !

But !!!

The important point is still relevent and timely Knighty.. so yes, point made and should really be noted by all !!

( If you email me the picture I will put it on your post for you )
