Only had it three weeks and with the help of an Essex tree, killed yesterday morning.:B

All the sub frame is twisted, with all the plastic broken and missing.

The burning question is repair or write off and buy another???

something always comes of bad luck

Sorry to hear your misfortune - but now you can buy a bird (or another)

by the way - i'm only new to riding and i guess i'm still a bit naive- but it thought the idea was to stay on the road and not hit things - that wat bike and rider do not sustain damage

So sorry to hear of your misfortune.

From the way you've worded the post are the repairs down to you or the insurance? With the damage you've described I'd have guessed an insurance company would write off.

If the repairs are down to you it might be worth the time to dismantle and repair to make it a bit special?

Problem is it sounds lke all the broken bits are the ones it'll be hardest to source as I'd guess they are what always gets the crunch first.

Anyway, whatever way you choose, good luck and hope you're back on the road again soon.

Hi

Nurnburg ring twice no problems
Brands track days no problems
Ireland to watch North West 200 no problems

Sharp bend 8 miles from my house, been using this road for 15 years, except this Sunday, BIG problem.

Could give it large about diesal, horse shit etc etc but no!!

I panic braked

Slid down the road, onto the grass, bike and me part company, and then proceed to race each other to a ditch with a tree. The bike won and decided to bounce back and thwack me in the chest. Then bike having proved it was harder than me the bike then decided to have a go at a tree which it lost against.

Me = Brused ribs, twisted knee and brused kidneys.

Bike = Bent in the middle, between the tank and the seat, right on the main stays.

Helmet split, leathers scuffed, groves ripped and boot slider worn away.

Me just impact damage, no flesh burnt or worn away.

BUT I have an off and walked (well hobbled) away.

I lived to tell the tale, and get the biggest bollocking from Mrs.

start on the slow red ones, then silver, black and finally to the FAST BLUE ones. Glad you're ok. we all make mistakes but usually we get away with it.
