Indeed.

I am watching the egg chasing and wondering how many more players are going to get sent off for dangerous tackles. Must be near double figures now and there is still seven months to go before the end of the group stage.

Rumania three yellows in nine minutes.

The bit I'm struggling with is why doesn't the player who is subjected to a dangerous tackle to the head sent off for an HIA..?
At the end of the day the whole point of punishing dangerous tackles to the head is to dissuade players from doing it and, by doing so, protect players from head injury.

As I understand it a HIA only happens if an injury is suspected.

A "dangerous" tackle under the new rules results in being penalised even if there is no injury.

Son was playing today against a very aggressive team which was given 8 yellows and 1 red.

At amateur level a requirement for a HIA means coming off and no matches for the next six weeks!

The Scotland game was the biggest massacre since Bannockburn but the Rumanian team were brilliant. Kept at it right to the end and every time a player got carded for a dangerous tackle they shook hands with the referee and apologised to their opponent.

Yep. They were so close to scoring in the last 5 mins, I almost felt they deserved it.
