Judges get their own way

I have just read on the Teletext about the Chancellor (Dick Turpin) introducing a new tax on pensions over 1.5 million quid (yes, a million and a half). The judges didn't like it and threatened to walk out, so the Government introduced an amendment exempting them from the tax.

Nice to know some employees can get their own way instead of the sack when they threaten to strike. :loo:

When you consider that most judges are well in their seventies by the time they retire, and have usually gone GaGa long before then, either they aren't going to be around to draw their pensions for long, or they are so senile they will forget to draw it, the other aspect is some will be locked up for kiddie fiddling
