Ha ha, yeah, they ain't no lookers. . . but so much better than the ones that were on there when i bought it!
Actually, in their defence, they do look better with the black screen back on. . .

They would look better with a very dark visor with 2 layers of gaffa tape :-0)

In all honesty, i didn't choose to fit them.
Heres the story. . .

When i bought the bike, it had the clamp top yolk conversion already fitted & no stock bars were supplied with the bike.

The bars that were fitted were some awful, wide & high western style things. Dreadful. They were too high, at a weird angle on the wrists & totally blocked out the mirrors.
My plan was to simply source & re-fit some stock clip-ons (thanks Taffy) & remove the entire clamp top yolk conversion.

However, ive since discovered that whoever fitted these hideous bars also fitted longer throttle cables, longer choke cable, longer braided brake & clutch lines & even the wiring to the switchgear had been lengthened.

Now, if i was to re-fit the stock clip-ons, i would have to buy & fit new throttle cables, choke cable, brake & clutch lines & shorten the wiring, as none of it would fit the stock bars. Also, the stock top yolk aint too pretty underneath the "new" yolk.
This little lot wouldn't come cheap & theres also the time & hassle doing it all.

I happened to have these Jota bars in the shed & it got me thinking & after offering them up, i found that i could get away with using everything that was already fitted to the bike, as due to their adjustability, i could place them where i wanted them - ultimately ending up with a really comfy position about an inch higher than stock.

True, they aint no lookers & nowhere near as nice as the originals or nice fully adjustable aftermarket jobbies, but compared to what was fitted before, theyre little beauties. . . and i find them more comfy than the stock bars fitted to my last 3 Blackbirds.

I rest my case m'lud. . . :p
