Me & a few mates are off to John O'Groats in May next year. Comming from all parts of the south, we're going to meet near Oxford (M40).
I've had a look at Google maps & A.A. Route planners to see how long it will take, but that is probably car related.
Anybody done it on here before ?
Our route will be from Oxford M40, M1, M6 to Glasgow for an overnight stop, if we cant do it in one hit,
From there to John O'Groats
I could do with approximate timings on these routes.
Thanks in anticipation.

Hence the 12 hrs eds, but to average 50 you have to be doing the legal limit nearly the whole way

I have done Lands End to John O'Groats twice on a racing bike - that took a lot longer than 12 hours:-0)

And I found it as depressing as everyone else when you have to get off and push the bike up a near vertical hill within 20 minutes of the start:eek:
