Still kickin' it!
It?s good to see some proper racing again in MotoGP ? if they keep this up, they?ll soon be up to BSB/WSB standards as far as ?entertainment value? is concerned. :-0)
Some of the formulaic decisions made, as far as cubic capacity is concerned, have turned out to be more than welcome; especially in the ?lower? MotoGP classes. Certainly, a racing prodigy has been uncovered there.
Marc Marquez is realising his potential in Moto2 and, undoubtedly, he will become the force to be reckoned with in the not-too-distant future - as long as he doesn't become too impatient for the victory. His performance at Jerez indicates a new maturity that should carry him to the pinnacle of his sport.
The Premier class is also benefiting from its move back to litre capacity bikes, and there could well be some significant turnarounds as the season progresses ? not least ? the re-emergence of Ducati as a force to be reckoned with.
I?m not even going to mention Valentino ? his results will speak for themselves as he and his team continue to solve the Ducati riddle. (See how I did that?) But I hope everyone remembers the loyalty, dedication and determination shown by Nicky Hayden when all the shouting dies down. Just remember: Ducati let Stoner go and kept Hayden. There are reasons for that ? just as there are reasons for Rossi?s nine World Championship titles.
We're into a new era ? just like the one(s) when Ali lost and won and lost and, ultimately, established himself as the G.O.A.T.
For his fans, it's hard to see Rossi struggling as a comparative back-marker, but the same opportunity is now on offer to the supreme biker as it once was to the supreme athlete, Muhammad Ali.
?Like Ali, Rossi has already proved his worth?
?Now, he just has to do it AGAIN?
?And I think he will.
?Come on?
?Come O-O-O-O-ONNNNNN, VALE?!!!
