Twice, I have been the only guy from the UK at the Danish Bird Bash. Half a dozen Danes came over to our Bash a couple of years ago. OK some folk may think that Denmark may be "out on a limb" as regards getting there, but there are direct ferries or make a holiday out of it with a ride up through Holland and Germany.
I know that the Danes would love more of us to visit them and they love coming here. The last time I was there in 2004 there was just the 1 guy from Norway and he was setting up a Norwegian Bird club. I haven't heard anything since, I'll have to make enquiries.
I know that some of our guys have visited Arnold in the Netherlands. Arnold was the first overseas visitor to our first Bash and he loves visiting us.
Making friends is a massive part of motorcycling for me and an international perspective enriches all.
I know it's the same with Rolfy Dave with Germany and yourself with France.
