Is this normal

Does any body Know if its normal for high temps (100degrees c) during running in.
Only Had it a week (150 miles)& fan comes in alot trying to cool it down even in this cold wheather.

It is pretty normal for a brand new Bird to run quite hi temp. mate..
As long as it is not overheating and is not losing coolent all is most likely ok.
However, my advise to anyone who is concerned about such matters is always go to the dealer and get the bike checked out..
The last thing you want is to have a potential long term problem.!

Ta for that but dealer not filling me with conifdence at the moment as they can fit a set of Gilles rear set & they did not register the the bike or tax it!! Going back to them on Tomorrow.

But rear set may be manufacturer. But acording to Gilles Thier rear sets fit all models But as i say Tomrrow i will know more !!:bang:

still not registered or tax wrong address on forms!!!!!
Rear set will only fit Birds up till 2001 after this honda changed frame & foot rest desgin. Manufacturer will have modifed set in two months.
Still parts & accessories department are ok got ground anchor as next week securing garage for bike.

Just to let you know I have a 2002 Bird and it runs hot too they just run hot arround 80-86 seems the norm... Just keep an eye in it unitll the first service when they change the oil to fully sinth might make a difference like me have to run in for the first 600 miles.
