I’ve got the 7+ does everything I need it to, youngest daughter has just ordered the 8, don’t think there’s a lot of difference between the 7+ & the 8 apart from the price.

I have a nokia 6100, motorola v3 in black, an iphone 4 and an iphone 6s in the cupboard. I find myself using the nokia 6100 most of the time.

Oh no, oh no indeedy! Have a look at the specs on the Apple website; the Xs/Xs Max is way ahead of the 8/8 Plus, mainly in way of the new chip and camera, but it's still streets ahead, From what I've read, it's not worth the money to upgrade from an X but certainly from anything older. From the 6, it's a no brainer. Here's the best deal on an upgrade (steep up front cost but low monthly bills) from Tech Radar:

I've always gone for the S model so change every two years. There was no 7S so I went for an 8 Plus as I couldn't get on with the X. I like my 8 Plus but don't want to keep it for another two years and don't want an 11 so planning on getting an Xs Max.

Mildly amusing but I found myself hitting mute every time that bastard music came on. OMG, it's annoying! Anyhoo, I spent three years with Samsung shite and I have never before had a phone that decided to open up apps and run them in the background of it's own accord; I had three of them do it. After a few days, I noticed my phone running slow so opened the task manager and found Google Maps and Google Playstore running in the background. Why? Wasn't a duff phone either as all three of my business Samsungs would do it. If they float your boat, fine, but I'd never have one again.
