On the left side of the iPhone 6 there is a little button that when pushed back turns off the ring sound
All well and good but it keeps on getting turned off in my pocket !
If it was not for the fact I wear a Fitbit watch and it vibrates when a call comes in I would have missed countless calls
I was told it is possible to turn off the switch but after 10s of minutes searching settings I am blowed if I can find anything
Ca anyone confirm it is possible and how it is done please ?

Yes. Place the phone in the toilet bowl and press the silver button.

Had the same problem when I had the iphone6 & I don’t think there’s a way to disable it, best thing is to get a hard case (not a gangster) & put some tape over the mute button orifice.

You could buy a case ??
My case is one that it’s a real pain to switch off the ringer !

noobie

Clueless in most things
I don't think there is a way to do it through the phone or it's operation. The only way I can see to do it is to flick the switch up to the play position and that leaves a small gap and then fill it with a small slither of something to stop it moving to mute.

Or you could buy a decent phone like a Huawei. :D
Agreed. Otherwise Apple will continue to launch their under developed shite products and expect the paying public to do the testing for them. Dump it and get a decent phone.

Maybe consider getting a wallet type holder for it john? Cash and cards all in one place. Tons of choice on eBay. Mrs A has a really nice red one.

Oh, and I have told you before about posting in the wrong section.

It'll change your life.

No need to,carry a wallet.

You can put contact details in it in case you lose it.

Women will throw themselves at your feet.

You will buy a winning lottery ticket every week.

Bird charging circuit failures will be a thing of the past**

I would not recommend putting bank cards near a mobile phone (as advised by my bank manager) phones can apparently disable the chip on your card.

I rest my case. They have already got you pouring more of your hard earned cash into their greedy little pockets. Robbing bastards.

And the most important benefit of having an iPhone, which you missed from your above list Andrew, is that you generally smell better.

Short answer: no John, you can’t disable it.

Apart from a case, go into your settings and set the phone to vibrate when ringing and messages come in. If the phone’s on a hard surface, the vibration makes enough racket so you should hear it.
