Woking town centre is adorned with artwork celebrating the fact that the first Martian space ship landed nearby at Horsell Common, which also happens to be over the fence at the end of my son‘s garden. HG Wells documented this amazing event in his non-fiction book ‘War of The Worlds’.

Almost all of the cannons on HMS Victory are extremely realistic replicas made largely from resin.

However, the blood stain still visible on one of the decks accredited to Lord Nelson’s dying moments is believed to be genuine.

In War of the Worlds the noise of the alien craft unscrewing the "door" was done using a coffee jar with a metal lid in a toilet bowl.
Heard that in a documentary long time ago.

Orson Wells acted on stage in Dublin before that.Screenshot_20220510-103139_Samsung Internet.jpg

A record 49,094 supporters watched Chelsea beat Manchester City in the Women's FA Cup final at Wembley, the competition's highest attendance.

Sunday's figure eclipsed the 45,423 who watched Chelsea defeat Arsenal at Wembley in 2018.
The record for a club fixture in England stands at 53,000 when Dick, Kerr Ladies faced St Helens Ladies in 1920 at Everton's Goodison Park.

True Everton had a very good women's team, most of the England side was made up of Everton and Arsenal players, then most of our best players left for better wages and we've struggled ever since

Also the base/steps are not truly horizontal, it is slightly raised toward the centre.

The Hindenburg didn't just crash it caught fire in a failed attempt to dock in high winds, by the time the remains hit the ground 99% of the damage was already done

and it was 1937 :)
