I nearly changed to TPFT this year, but ended up getting fully comp for
?144:bow:
Just glad I did as I got knocked off by a cage and wrote it off.
I used to think that if someone else caused an accident and I only had TPFT I'd get my bike fixed/paid for.
Could take years. The "Young lady" who caused my accident was driving her mothers car and turned right and into me on a roundabout. She is trying to claim uninsured losses from me:shooter: claiming I was overtaking her and clipped her car as I cut back in, ON A ROUNDABOUT?.
Net result.. No independent witnesses,
A F**k*d up police report
(at first they claimed "the biker lost control and hit the kerb") No mention of the 2 ton mercedes that hit me first!,
Lookes like I'LL be going to court at some point to try to get some damages.
Doesn't look too good at the moment though as it seems to be my word against her's:bang:
So back to the main question? If you can afford it, Fully Comp every time.
I had 10 years ncd at the time, If I had gone down the TPFT route I really would be stuffed right now
