I took my new bird out today for a ride. Encountered blue sky and sun, Dull and drizzle, sleet, hail stone and downpours. But still smiling. I worked out my MPG. On the first tank it was 37 mpg but on the second it worked out to 46.7 mpg. If it keeps increasing at that rate with each tank full I will be well chuffed. Bike has now got 310miles on the clock.

I went via back roads from Sandhurst, Berks to Warwick rtn

Hi Mac..... good ride.... I use those roads often when I visit the folks in Bracknell. Out through Henley and so on are some fun places.

Must give you a shout next time I'm down that way visiting......

Yea... I suppose I should rephrase that....... there's some nice twisty bits here and there but the road surfaces are crap........ always have been !!

Since I now know mine has a dynojet kit, had a badly fitted airbox, and knackered plugs it's no wonder I've never had more than 120 from a tank.

I've done over 20K on my 99 Injection Bird. Get about 32MPG if I thrash it one up whit my mates or about 38MPG on a long ride 2 up.

One complaint though is the candle for a headlight, when riding the unlit backroads and twisites. The best and politest way to describe it is 'interesting'. I think an HID conversion may be the next option.
