Income tax for self employed

The government are debating the possibility of raising income tax for the self employed, no figures have been mentioned as yet.
The reasoning behind it is because they believe that many of the self employed are being economical with the truth when declaring their full earnings, and believe that as many as 48% of self employed are actually earning over twice as much as they are declaring.

They introduced IR35 for one man Ltd companies back in 2000 - clamp down on every phooker these days...that's why I have given it up and comitted permicide.....tax tax and more tax.....no tax relief for paying your own pension or health cover...tossers.....

So the bastids THINK that we are fiddling so lets up the tax no evidence we just THINK you are on the fiddle. I have to keep full accounts am subject to inspections at any time by the IR and Customs and Excise. I have to pay an accountant and submit books every year and pay my tax in advance in two feckin big chunks. All my income is paid by cheque so I couldnt hide one even if I wanted to without risking the wrath of the tax man.

Yes but with the complete shit heads we have in Westminster will cover that with legislation to kick you in the bollocks if your caught fiddling the books.
