???

Don't agree with that Mac!

That's saying that once acceleration has ceased and a constant speed of rotation is reached - there is no mass creating centrifugal force. Not correct. The mass remains constant, unless you increase rotation of course.

You're thinking of movement in the horizontal plane - in which case that would be correct - but not in the rotational scenario.

When are the clever people going to get here ??

1200pete,

I knew I shouldn't have got involved in this one! :neenaw: :dunno:

I think I'll start a new thread about swapping knitting patterns or souffle recipes!

I also had 2 flat front tires with this valves, needless to say I don't use them any more. I did learn that it's possible to stop safely from 120 mph with a deflating front tire.

Now Grumpee is confused cos he doesn't realise his Bird will do 120mph unless it's on a trailer.

Cut to the quick again, Limpy.

That's a wicked tongue/typing finger you've got!

At least it's not a beat up Poxhall doing the towing!!man8um

tyre valves

I posted this before I think, but what the hell.

I had a 1200 Daytona prior to the ?Bird, and being similiar to the ?Bird in size and weight and HP provides a near direct comparison.

I was called by my local Triumph dealer to come and look at my valves whilst the bike was in for a service. I was very shocked to see that both the front and rear tyre valves (the right angled variety) were split almost right through. Caused by the forces during rotation bending the valve stem and splitting them on the outside of the bend.

The valves had been fitted within the previous 500 miles, and were found just before setting off for the Nurburgring.

It makes me shudder when I think of what a double wheel deflation at the ?Ring would have been like. Needless to say, I had the valves replaced asap.

I?ll not ever fit anything to my valves other than a dust cap.

It just ain?t worth thr risk.
