Important Bash Update

You all seem to be forgetting that folk from Europe attend too.. so it is not so far off of a central point as it seems..


And things are starting to pick up a bit now in the booking dept..

Seems that folk simply did not realise how close the event is !!

I am confident it will go ahead Rhino..

As a fairly new user of this forum, and I dont wish to be critical, I think the reason the Bash has not seen a constant trickle of confirmed bookings is because it's a mystery as to how to book. I was interested at first but delved a little deeper and couldn't find a simple place to book or register my interest. I am sure it's in there somewhere , buried in a thread or link , but if you want to get the numbers up why not put a sticky right at the top of the bash info forum which we can all use to book and pay for the bash , including all the details of the event , what it costs , where and when to attend, etc etc . If I knew the answers to these questions I would probably go but all the information any new member requires is scattered over many different threads it becomes a mission to actually gather all the details needed to book. Until I read this thread I assumed it was a sell out.

I finally decided to go , just gone to er indoors to see if I can tempt her, She has never been on the back yet , was even going to suggest she can follow on in the car and she has just pointed out we are in fact on hols in egypt 22nd - 29th may , booked and paid about six weeks ago, hadn't even realized the dates clashed. I am sorry to have to miss this year ,hope its a success and as soon as the bookings are available for next year I will be amongst the first on the list.

Good luck and best wishes to all who attend , I am sure you will have much more fun than I will in Egypt enduring the hot sun, all inclusive alcohol and food and the tedium of scuba and snorkelling,

Jan & I want to come along, but with me being off work, I dont know whether we can afford it after our family holiday just...

I know thats a cop out, but I only have SSP coming in, and even if we do come, it will only be in the car(not enough strength tho ride the bike in the damaged arm/wrist), and to a hotel (which we have already booked in Thetford-but cant afford-shite)

If I had the money now, I would have booked... But, I just dont know what the finances are going to be like in 5 or 6 weeks time... Sorry...

I have been into the garage this morning, for the first time in 5 weeks, and just seen a screen which I still have to pay Jaws for.. (Really sorry John..Just forgot with all the crap... I will be in touch about it)

Sorry for the indecision, but the way things are at the moment, I cant even afford to pay the mortgage...

If possible we will be there...

Looks like I'll not make it this year.

Slipped a disc on the way home from Azerbaijan and been stuck in the house ever since.:bang: Consultant thinks I'll have to have an operation putting me out of action for two months, so I really doubt I will be able to handle a 300+miles run on the bike next month. :violin:
I'm really pissed off I can't make it and after saying to jaws to hold a place I'll happily forward a cheque to cover a cancellation fee if it helps it all go off as it should.
I'll see you all next year unless there's a miricle and I get sorted before the bash

Spoke to Jaws last night on a tech matter (thanks for help) and asked how Bash bookings coming along and he said slowly but it WILL go on regardless. Jaws is once again putting a lot of time, effort and pennies into this great weekend so come on everyone let's support him - and the future bashes.

Hi Mate
If you are coming all that way you are welcome for a stop over in Birmingham. We live 2 miles south of M6 junction 7 and will be riding our bikes down quite early to Jaws house.

Thanks very much for your offer - we have booked a hotel in birmingham for the Thursday night and plan to head for Jaws early on the Friday - he is servicing the two bikes for us.
We might be able to meet up on the Thurs night and arrange to join up for the trip to Thetford.
How long will it take to get to Thetford from Birmingham?
