The whole story about the Britten v1000 and John Britten is a fascinating story...

https://www.amazon.co.uk/John-Britten-Tim-Hanna/dp/1877333085 (and if I'd known that the book would be fetching these prices then I'd have kept my copy :().

By all accounts he was a bit of a bastard...all be it a driven one.
When I finally got to see one at Jurby it was well worth the wait. But I have to say that it was a bit disappointing to hear one on the parade lap around the island. I expected some sort of booming monster, but it was quite a subdued sound for such an iconic beast.

Still a stunning original machine, though. (y)

It's a truly incredible story - most people have never heard of John Britten.

Well done! (y):ARMS1::applaudit::clap2:

There are ten versions, but i only know of two..both v1000s.
