If anyone is looking for a good book to read, may I recommend "The Fete of Douglas Blouse" by Mathew F Zimmer

I am not usually a big book reader but I thoroughly enjoyed this by a new young up and coming author who I also happen to know very well (so there is a little bit of bias, but everyone else that has read it has agreed with me)

It has humour, drama and twists and turns within the story that are not expected when you start reading, but it certainly draws you in and becomes quite an addictive read.

The follow up is out later this year.

The best book I have read in a very long time as mentioned elsewhere is War Doctor by David Nott

Just finished reading "D-Day: The Soldiers Story" on Kindle. A really good account of many personal stories from the grunts on all sides of the invasion, including the French civilians caught in the middle.

How anyone survived long enough to get off those beaches is nothing short of miraculous.
