.................As some of you know, I like to create a Bird with a difference. Below are two projects that I have worked on so far

Project 1 - The Purple Bird

This is a project I did nearly two years ago, the most difficult part was coming up with the design.

2nd Project - The Fast Black and Silver Bird

Not as extensive a project as the first one but, still the most difficult part was the idea for the design of the paintwork.

Project 3 - ?????????

This is where I would like your input please (Sensible invites only please )

As you can see, starting from the ground up, I am thinking of doing something totally different with the bike and would like ideas from you lot as to what to do.

This is your chance to see your ideas in the metal - so to speak !

I will use this thread as an ongoing communication as to how the project is progressing and how your ideas are becoming reality.

Obviously, cost is a factor, so ideas have to be practical and cost effective. I am not limiting myself to any one theme and all ideas and designs will be considered. All ideas for accessories ie cans, screens, seat, etc will be taken on board but, the basic chassis design will remain unchanged.

The bike is a 01 fuel injected and the original colour was Red.

This is your opportunity to help create an official BIRD bike or something unique.

This is where we are starting from, look forward to your suggestions.

This thread could interest me cos I've got a load of crash-damaged plastic that I'm condidering using as the basis for a radical Bird project but I'm equally devoid of Ideas.
C'mon you arty types, get on Photoshop and let rip.

I know I have mentioned it before but the X11 arse end plastics fit straight on
Mind you, I have been looking for some for almost 3 years now and STILL aint found any at a sensible price..
Here is one I spotted at Yarmouth a couple of years ago with a VT arse end on it... Bike has since been ripped apart and is completely rehashed so nowt on it is out there anywhere at the moment

polish everything
single seat job with short swinging arm,
high level pipes, silver paint job, with red bits, renthal bars, lose the front fairing, bar end mirrors

or use the single spot light fairing with adjustable clip ons,

rear sets,

junk everything that is not need to lighten it up.

change the wheels to oz or something like that,

vtr tail unit can be made to fit, sp1 forks also can be mated up.

We can supply you with Logo's and artwork?

Now that would be unique and a real talking point !

Base it on Black and Red and Gold

Not sure about the flashing XX's though!! LOL

Just my 2penc worth why not look @ the SR71 for your desige cues

Radical but

Chrome everything,, at least it would dazzle the cops in the sunshine:} ,, do the wheels, frame,, panels the lot,, might take alot of cleaning but would be shinier than a shiny thing.
