What the ? I was not expecting that!

Had the biggest surprise of my life tonight..

Works Xmas dinner and we get all the after dinner speeches and awards being dished out deservedly to fellow colleagues and friends who have worked their butts off all year round in at times, difficult circumstances.

A number of awards were dished such as the driver wh did the most voluntary hours, the driver who went above and beyond the call of duty, along with a few f the more comedic awards such as the person who put the biggest or longest dent in a bus or drank more coffee than anyone.

Last awards of the night?

Employee of the year 2022.

Winner? Me.....

I was not expecting that.

Thats it really.

Out of the 20+ drivers on the staff, plus support staff I was chosen as the employee of the year. Nothing more I can say other than I was not expecting it and it was a very humbling experience,

I don't get any extra money or annual leave, its simply a recognition I guess that I have done my job to the best of my ability...
