Joking aside I am all for seeing more wildlife in this country, I remember the excitement six years ago at Pateley bridge seeing my first ever red kite, or going fishing early one morning about 15 years ago seeing my first real live badger crossing the road in front of me. and when I had my small holding watching the fox cubs playing in the fields.
that is a major part of the enjoyment of fishing for me, couldn't care less whether I catch a fish or not, but the wildlife is brilliant.
I used to leave a paddock deliberatley to get overgrown with weeds to encourage butterflies.

The town of Beverley used to be called Beaverlac, meaning Beaver lake.

not a lot of people know that. (or wanted to probably)
