It's been some time since my last visit to the Isle of Man and I was content with shabby b&b's at the time, but I'm planning to visit in July with swmbo and need a decent hotel, any recommendations please.

I hope you're not expecting anything decent. Think 1970's Blackpool or Llandudno and you'll be OK.
We usually stay in the Palace Casino and Hotel, as it has it's own carpark. (There is a fee for cars, but they usually let us bikers park for free).

We always stopped with friends when we marshalled there but from what I heard from other marshals they are all overpriced and, as Capar said, very underwhelming.

You're far better off looking out for a decent B&B.
