Standard fit BM, straight from the factory. Is it something to do with mine being the GS Adventure?
Could be mate, but the fitting points are the same

Hmmm. Maybe they’ve listened to previous complaints then and got it sorted. Wouldn’t surprise me, BMW (and Squareheads in general) are like that.

Re high points
Last years mid west USA trip we drove up mount Evans, not far from Denver.
Most of us felt a bit odd while driving up, but I was determined to get to the top.
The peak is 14,130 feet (and a car park nearby)
I felt a bit wobbly but fine, so ran up to the very highest point, on the way down tho ... I felt shakey, my legs were like jelly (which didn’t help as I was driving) and felt a bit sick.
When we arrived back in Denver later in the evening I had the worst headache ever and went to bed and, unbeknown to me, our friends who live in Denver were feeling the effects of altitude sickness really bad too !
Being ‘high’ can cause issues ... often showing the symptoms AFTER you descend !!

Highest I’ve knowingly been on land is Jo’burg, and that’s just over 5,700 feet above sea level. I’m pretty fit for a middle-aged fart but I was absolutely f’ed walking from the plane to immigration. I couldn’t understand why until I remembered the elevation.

Same here worked on the mines on the highveld also about 5700 feet above sea level for 10 years, luckily mainly surface based but some days went down the mine to near 6000 feet below sea level. My ears used to feel like they were going to explode when coming back up to surface
