well I’ve been , so far, in France , Germany (safe) and Switzerland, and I feel so much safer here than in England from all the doom and gloom on the media.

So, a few days ago I had a bad back and sore ribs, I put this down to scrambling under the MH and doing a bit of handiwork. It’s not got any better.

and then earlier I found a few spots and a bit of a rash, and turning around I can see the same on my back in the mirror.

Felt crap when I woke up this morning and could barely put one foot in front of the other toward the end of golf this morning.

Got home, showered and straight to bed. Woke up with a thumping head ache.

I also have a rash - on my right ankle. But I know this is the result of stinging nettle contact when I disappeared into the bushes by the ninth tee for a pee

Piss on your ankle. Give it ten minutes and then get back in the shower. Rinse your ankle with water, no soap, pat dry with towel and don't rub. Don't put any socks on when you've dried off and that'll be the end of your rash when you wake in the morning.

Went to a pharmacy today, and the very helpful pharmacist was able to prescribe drugs to me because I wasn’t a local, otherwise I’d have to go to a doctor first. Just a form to fill in and a check on my other meds. Chf112 lighter and I’m On my way

Just checked my UK charge is £95.69. OK, so what never mind it’s only money - but would you believe when she checked my existing meds I also got charged for an occupancy check and a meds check of nearly 6 quid. These Swiss know how to make money for nothing.

I woke up one morning in Zurich with really dry eyes. A tiny bottle of eye drops off the shelf in the chemist cost me the equivalent of £16.

I’ve done that twice before, now that is a bloody expensive train trip. It’s very popular with Indian tourists for some reason.

a funny story, I took mum and dad, along with wife, bruv-in-law and sis-in-law to Switzerland 20 years ago for their 50th wedding anniversary. I decided a trip to the top of the Jungfrau was a once in a lifetime not to be missed trip.

we caught the train at Grindelwald up to Kleine Scheidegg, changed over to the cog wheel train up to the top. The second train was very crowded and my mum couldn’t sit down, there were 2 backpackers, Aussies I think, who had decided their packs should deserve a seat each - bastids. So, rather officiously, I asked them to move the packs. They ignored me, so I shouted at them to move or they’d be out the window. They m0ved, pronto. Perhaps I looked official, I was then wearing a BOHAG sweatshirt, Berber Oberland Helikoptor Company. So maybe. If they’d started I had bruv-in-law stood behind them, 6 foot, 19 stone bodybuilder - so I had help
