Booked the Hull-Zeebrugge ferry after all to avoid the 6 hour ride to Dover, it cost us ?151.50 each for 2 bikes and a 2 berth outside cabin.
Now need to study the map and work out a rough plan for our 5 day jaunt ..... any ideas welcome!

You mean to strap yourself to the bar, or strap the bike down? If its the latter...are you sure, we are using them in Sept. Last time as I said, they put a big padded strap over the saddle and onto D-rings in the deck.

Whoops, just read the destination, we went to Rotterdam, bigger boat, better service.

Bit Late sorry Andy

But for anyone else unsure....Don't book it on the Internet....the prices are fookin ridiculous.

Hull to Zeeb last year 258 quid return for two sharing and 2 Bikes.

PHONE them and tell them you'll share with any fooka/number and you want ALL the Discounts that are available inc MCN and ya forgot the Token Number...also you will sleep on a clothesline.

That way we got it for ?78 each, return, 4 bikes, sharing...and an extra 2 quid each to have an outside cabin.

Good bars and a fit Spanish bird that sings....:yo:

We're off on a bike trip in June through France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany and anywhere else we end up but, living in North Yorkshire, the most convenient crossing is Hull-Zeebrugge. The chunnel means a whole days ride to the south coast and/or an overnight stay in Dover ...... however, it looks like the overnight crossing from Hull will be around ?250 return !!! which seems a lot.
Has anybody discovered a more reasonable deal?

why you will not try a ferry from Harwich to Hoek van Holland (Stena Line) .....maybe its little far from france but cheaper .....I booked a ferry and it cost me 196 euro(1 bike/1person plus cabin) in both ways .....its about 176 ?
