Are selling S reg's for around the ?2000/?2800 mark ,, saw one trader selling one with 20k for ?2500,, you might get ?3000 if you are V lucky Allan.

Depends on the assesor m8.

Good luck & speedy recovery. :k

should be plenty of pictures testifying to it being imaculate prior to the off, and I'm sure a "dealer" may have offered you "top book" just before you went abroad to sell on your return!! as testiment to it's condition!! :dunno:

Lets clear this up...I hope!

Trade price is what a dealer will offer you if you want him to straight buy your bike or if he buys one from another dealer when he has a customer looking for a particular bike he doesn't have in stock.
Top book is the price he sells a mint bike with correct mileage or less for the year.
Bottom book is the price he sells a normal bike with appropriate wear and mileage or high mileage for it's year.
Sale price can normally vary between these levels.
Loss adjusters will normally be looking at appropriate book price and then knocking off for worn tyres etc.
In my opinion!!!

well i was was offered ?3200 for my BIRD, s reg with 20k on it against a ?3800 bandit 12 on a 51 plate back at end of august

My BIRD isnt immaculate in any way , so unless he had a buyer for it i was getting a good deal back then

Well any Bird less than 3 k around here is generally snapped up ( and thats for any age !)
Saw an S reg efi one go for 3900 last Friday mate.. And that had no MOT and a scrap up the side !!

Lings ( Honda main dealer ) are still currently ONLY buying in Birds cos they are making premium money..

A decent one ( even a red one ) would be in a showroom for at the very least high three's to low fours..

Allan I posted this last night on your post in the help section...

As youll probably know I was involved in a total loss acccident in July,

Mine was A '99 fi excellent condition & 32000 miles (although insurance co. didnt ask!)
I got ?3600 minus the ?250 excess. I am still in "discussions" with them re value
but I suspect this would be a ballpark figure that almost all insures would offer

With a similar aged bike and mileage to yours I would think this is what you may well be offered too

Hope this helps (&get well soon)

Neil.
