What the ? How much do they want??

Getting a bit sick and tired at all the begging adverts on tv nowadays, how much do these "charities" spend each year, telling us how they are going to feed/save the world, the same ones we've been "saving" for the last 40 odd years, I've 5 kids, at the time of their conception, I could afford to feed and clothe them, If I lived in some of those countries where the crops fail regularly and couldn't afford to feed one kid, why would I keep knocking them out, each year the kids die because the mother can't keep it fed, When is it going to get through to them, stop shagging and start digging, perhaps if they took a lot more care over the food and water they grow and dig out, the crops wouldn't fail every year.

I did a tot up of the begging adverts on ONE day last week..
They all wanted x amount each month, and it worked out £485 a year !
Then of course the sally army asking for £19 .... Don't get me wrong, they do a damned good job but £19 ?

Two questions. Why aren't the mothers all skin and bone, and where are all the fathers ?

They do not have beggars on telly in Germany, Austria or Italy.. You do see one VERY occasionally in Spain

One of the reasons that I cut back drastically on charity donations was finding out the payscales for the top brass in each one.
Probably the Sally Army are the only ones who aren't paying their CEO more than the Prime Minister.

We were surprised how many beggars there are in Benidorm, first time we went we didn’t see any, when we went in October there were about thirty, some of them very rowdy on a night.

by the time we get there in January there is maybe one or two.. all the rest are tucked up in their villas with a hang over from celebrating 3 kings !

I never give to charities that send money or goods overseas & never will, I decide what I will give, who to & when

I must say all the charity bags we get through the door make good bin liners though

I gave a lot (for me) to one and found out a few months later that some of the money was for some 4x4’s to get about in after the boxing day tsunami,
no problem there but then they would not let them in without paying import duty.
right or wrong that was it for me.
