, just a thought but wouldn't getting them of the property and into safe storage at a bank reduce the premium ?
I'd rather put them in a leaky garden shed with no lock on the door, than trust those criminals with them.

When I renew they don't ask how many square feet.
It all how many rooms, bathrooms, garage, confirm it's brick built with no flat roofs.
Contents for me us pretty basic.
Same here but you did ask if it was Windsor Castle. However, they do ask for an actual price to re-build as opposed to market value and they referred us to a website where we had to jump through a few hoops to get a proper quote.

I am guessing the specialty items are watches but whatever they are they must be worth a few bob to justify such a large premium, just a thought but wouldn't getting them of the property and into safe storage at a bank reduce the premium ?

I dont even know if that idea is practical or not so as i say just a thought !
It’s not the daftest idea I’ve ever heard and the bank is a 20 minute walk from where I live. Not sure how much a safety deposit box costs though. Maybe andyBeaker might have an idea.

It's his Nunchucks or whatever the hell he calls them.
Smash them about the house and yer premium is bound to go up.
I think you mean Indian clubs. You’re not wrong though, if one of those went flying out of my hands the damage would be quite spectacular. Now that renovations are nearing completion, I’ve been banished upstairs to train although I’ll be training in the garden wi’ me clubs soon as it warms up a bit in the mornings.

You will be extremely lucky to find a high street bank with safe deposit facilities on site these days. Such facilities tend to be centralised. No idea what the costs are and, contrary to public perception in my experience, the contents are not insured. As many found out when there was a big flood at a NatWest facility in the 1990s.
