Some time ago, some of you good peeps were extolling the virtues of a particular place in Turkey, but I can't track down the relevant thread(s).

So, cut to the chase, where is a good, reasonalby well priced place to stay in Turkey please!

Marmaris, cheap friendly, beach is crap though. try the proper Turkish menu I doubt that you'll be disappointed.

Still kickin' it!
...We went to Kusadasi, way back in the nineties and just after major developments were starting up, so it may be heavily commercialised by now. We do have very fond memories of the place, though, especially of the friendly locals, Ladies Beach and of the many places of interest. Have a look:

Went to Marmaris last year mate....

Blackpool with guarenteed sun......

Just watch out for the "vendors" tryin to get you into their establishments...

As with drugs... "Just say NO"!!!

We had a great time... Scuba diving/parasailing/quad safari/getting pissed on the free booze/etc etc(dont buy from the hotel.. its much cheaper to get them from the "travel agents" just outside the hotel...LOL)

Our hotel was the "Club Julien". A little way off the beach, but fabulous facilities/service.

Turkey......

Give it a miss unless you want touching-up by some moslem perverts or you want your wife to run off with a Turkish toyboy who'll drop her as soon as he gets his British passport. :wank: s

Hi Mike

Me and Steve have been going to Turkey for 13 years now, NEVER had a bad holiday yet, all I can say is email me or Steve if there's anything in particular you would like to know and we'll help you as best as we can.

Unlikley unfortunately, as the calendar is filling up rapidly, with the Thunderace gathering in the Eifel mountains in June, a V Strom trip planned to Norway in July, an off-road week in August somewhen, then hopefully Turkey in September, slotting in another Treffen would require a lot of string pulling at work.

On the otherhand, if you let me know which weekend is the Harz thing, and if we are not doing anything, maybe we could ride down and say "Hi" .... it's not that far!

Happy New Beer to one and all!

All I can remember from the original thread about Turkey, was that someone had been to a specific place, not one of the usual tourist traps, for a few years running, and the pictures they posted were wonderful.

Will contact you or Steve after the new year,

cheers
