I think I am married to the female version of Mr Trebus, clearing out the loft I found 72 rolls of Christmas wrapping paper & five boxes of Christmas crackers.
“Why do we need 72 rolls of Christmas wrapping paper?”
“Cos I wrap more Christmas presents than you”
“How many rolls do you use each year?”
“Five or six”
“You don’t need to buy anymore for ten years”

she will

Mine mentioned in passing there was quite a few bits of stuff around the house that hadn't properly been put away after Christmas

I picked up my mora & dremel from at the side of my chair & took them up the shed then sat down again

When she later said are you going to help clear up I said just done the last of mine & the rest was done xmas day, guess who owns the rest of it?

Didn't go down well & she's not talking to me which is a bonus :)

When the Grandkids come round, “Gangan, can I get a toy out?”
“Yes when you’ve put the one your playing with away”
“Grandma, can I get a toy out?”
“Yes but put them all away when you’ve finished”
Kids go home, Bev, “look at the mess in here”

Yep. I'm married to one like that. She's absolutely gutted that she can't get out this month to restock with Christmas dec's, paper, cards, etc.

What you need to do is sneak a load of rolls out, wrap them up or box them up, and send them to her as a Christmas present. She will think you are very thoughtful and be in her good books for............. hours, maybe

Now is the best time of year to buy next year's Christmas goodies as they are reduced in price, so you should be grateful to her that she is trying to save money

Best I don't show you my protein stash in the garage then :eusa_whistle: When my favourite products are on BOGOF or half price (same thing, I know), I bulk buy whether I need to or not. Mrs P reckons I'm addicted to special offers and bargains. When we're out shopping and I spot a bargain, she often tells me to buy three or four "in case there's an apocalypse". Standing joke in this house. I asked for a pair of specific weightlifting shoes for Christmas, so Mrs P bought me two pairs "in case there's an apocalypse", I kid thee not.

One habit I carried over from the Forces is, if you like a bit of kit then always buy a spare (or two).
Another one is that if you see something that you really like...and you can afford it...then buy it. Because as sure as eggs is eggs, if you decide to sleep on it, then when you go back it'll be sold out and all you'll get is "no sir, we don't know when we'll be getting more in".

Life's too short. Go on....treat your self.
