Your insightfulness has been missed, mate.Aye, well... Life's too short.... Why stress out over anything?
I decided to focus on more positive things for a while and suddenly the world became a "better place".
No more squabbles. Back on the bike and happy to share my trips with anyone who cares to look.
Thanks for your greeting - that made me think: "Yea. It's good to be back!"
That's stretching things a bit....Nice to actually have a grown up on here again.
Welcome back
Some things I've not missed at all - but I've got some new toys of my own that'll keep me happy,Your insightfulness has been missed, mate.
It's like a Fisher Price test centre in here at times.
Thanks for the welcome, DnD. Gotta side with Squaggy on the "grown up" bit, though...Nice to actually have a grown up on here again.

Glad ya liked the story, Jeffa - and thanks for the "welcome back".Welcome back DA, great read and I love the photos.
Cheers, Deg5y I've retired from being a ballerina, and I'm a lot less sensitive now, as a result... (emotianally - not sexually)We did the NC500 about 4yrs ago before it was becoming popular.
Plus our overall mileage ended up to be about 1200 including the drop down to home.
Great roads, great scenary, what more can you want!
ps. Good to see you back, maybe stay a little longer this time!
Thanks again for the welcome and glad you enjoyed the write-up and pix.Great write up and some cracking pictures.
(Glad to see all the 'club' stickers have been removed from the signpost at John O'Groats)
Heh-heh! Every day's a holiday when you're retired! We've always enjoyed looking at historical building etc. and there are plenty to see wherever we go, as well as plenty to learn about who did what to whom, how, when, and why. I never knew Cape Wrath was the biggest military exercise area in Europe until I looked at visiting the lighthouse, and that in itself interested me, but forty quid to get there was a bit too much for my liking - a pub/music/food and dancing girls combination might have changed my mind, though.Great write up of your hol DA, going to have to make a trip up there before the year is out. Have done most of the routes but sadly never explored any of the castles, although we did do Smoo cave inc the boat bit. We also wanted to do the Cape Wrath excursion but they had land, sea and air military exercises on when we intended going. I saw a prog where Julia Bradbury walked there from the south (Kinlochbervie). Need plenty of time though to do proper walking eh.
