Hi-tech beermats for 21st Century

At last no more going to the bar for a refill

Cheers, I'll have a refill.
An intelligent beermat that alerts the bartender that your glass is empty could feature in pubs of the future.

Like an ordinary mat, it absorbs drips; but the gadget also has hidden sensors.

The device will detect the weight of the drink above it, working out how much is left before sending a signal to the bar for a refill.............

Another reason to justify charging a fortune for Beer.

I don?t want hi tech in a pub. I want it old fashioned, not recreated oldie worldly shit. Nothing like an old pub that?s how it always used to be. But don?t forget, good real ales.

Remember going in a pub in Union Mills years ago. There were no pumps on the bar at all, flag floor and benches to sit on. Landlord asked what you wanted then filled a jug up straight out of the barrel then filled your glasses, bliss :p

bar towels and ashtrays all fall under the same shit, no ashtrays on bar tops no bar towels cos they may be filthy etc, my mistake in putting beer MATS however many of the big "chains" witherspoons etc DONT use beer MATS, and that was the reason I was given when I asked for one  soz for the error!! :f
