I'm wondering if anyone can help out with this?
My blackbird has a hesitation/spluttering in top gears usually bout 5000 rpm I'm thinking fuel starvation!
Has just had new oil & filter, plugs, air filter
Would I benefit from power commander?
It's a carb version 1997

AKA the Bird flat spot........which I really noticed on my bike for the first time this very evening, whilst trying to overtake, when a vehicle coming the other way was travelling slightly quicker than I thought. Opening the throttle hard led to a nasty jerk in the power delivery, and upset the bike a little (and my bio-rythmn quite a bit, as I don't usually have a bowl movement till much later in the evening man8um ) once the revs picked up though , it pulled like a train!

I will let others more qualified explain what why how, and the remedies, but its been discussed on here before if you care to search around.
