HELP! URGENT anyone in FARNBOROUGH?

There is a black 'Bird for sale on eBay at the moment which may just be what I'm looking for, found it under Honda,CBR1100 (as opposed to Blackbird), and I was wondering if anyone knows if this is a good buy or not?

prob is I'm going away tomorrow night for 12 days, and I'm gonna be in Basingstoke for a couple of hours before I go, so if it was worth looking at, I might be able to swing by and have a gander, pop a depoist down etc etc.

Can anyone help/advise/shoot me and put me outta my misery? :beer:

not yet, wanted to know if anyone was local to him and knew the guy, cos after the fook up I made of the last trip out to Germany, if I bollocks this one up by missing the flight to go and look at a bike, legover priviledges would be revoked indefinitly methinks :}

the couple of hours that I have "spare" are the ones where I should fighting my way through the milling crowds at the airport, so I'd be cutting it fine, and if it turns out to be not as described, I'd be a bit miffed. Plus I don't want to call to arrange to see it, then get held up and incur the guys wrath via eBay!

also .....

Just noticed that in both the side shots of the bike, it is sat on its mainstand, but both wheels sre on the road.

Is this normal for a 'Bird to sit like that? I know my old one was a bit rough :xm but the rear wheel was off the deck when the mainstand was used.

Any idea?

That will probably be the spacer trick to improve the cornering [not that I'd know anything about that!!!!!!!!!!!]

My advice [following Kylie] - don't rush into anything - there will be other bikes for sale when you have more time!

Remember...I was right about Kylie!! Take heed

Kylie had a 6mm

spacer inserted up her arse but the wheel was still off of the deck, how big is this spacer likely to be?

But I do take your point of less haste etc .....

Mine has 7mm

and both wheel are on the deck

However, my suspension is being rebuilt by JAWS [back and front] for a very reasonable price pre-bash - exisitng one is well worn [not due to weight - cue abuse] but due to excessive speed when cornering LOL

Kylie could have had 36 metres up her jacksie - nothing wold have affected her!!

Gonna mail you Mike about another BIRD that has just come on the market [very tasty rebuild - very very tasty price!!
