Cheers DC I'll take that as a compliment.
In 1999 the bike was bought new by a farmer lad here in Norfolk, he rode it for 3,500 miles but frightened himself half to death and so he parked it in his barn, CJBall did him a deal for the bike and placed it in the back of his shop. It stayed there till Jan 2003 when I bought it, at this time the tax was 2years out of date. The rear tyre had no chicken strips at all, there was just one single wear line down the centre of the tread and the rear fasteners were badly corroded. In short it was decidedly unloved.
I made every effort to maintain her without regard to expense, I don't think this is unusual with BBird owners.

At the beginning of this year we had the opportunity to buy a Harley Road King, we loved it. We are both getting a bit long in the tooth so the Harley style suits us now. Carole wanted to ride her own bike so the obvious solution was to swap the BBird for a 1200 Sportster. The big man had one and the deal was done four weeks ago. However he could not get on the bike comfortably, (think you know what I mean)

I was very pleased to see it had gone to a good Welsh home, I'm certain you have a real goodun.

If you want to know more about the bike don't hesitate to ask, if you want to know anything about BBirds do a search and if you can't find an answer then start a new thread, someone will give you the right answer in no time. In spite of the banter and seeming aggression these guys are pussycats albeit very knowledgeable and helpful pussycats.

If you send me a PM with your address I will send you a Haynes manual (it should have gone with the bike).

And now for the last time (you can lift the photo for your siggy if you want to)
