What the ? Heated

Grips...No not again! Yes gain.
just fitted R&J Premium hot grips.
From the 'Bird' web site.
Yes I know it's sunny out.
All sorted and very hot.
The glue had set on the grips until
I put the power on and it duly
softened the glue again.
This is the glue...see pic.
It's rubber glue, like for a puncture.
I don't think it's up to the job?
More like thumbs down.
Waddaya think?

I always used ordinary adhesive knowing I would have to cut them off if they failed or just sell the bike!
