I recently had a very nice correspondence with a chap in Greece..
he mailed me asking if I knoew of any reason his headlight should keep blowing...
To be honest trying to do a remote fix on such an issue is never easy and I was a little baffled..
Well a few days went by and I had this from him:
I am in the pleasant possition to announce you that i have fortunately fixed the problem.I had a problem to the relay connector which sent 18 volts!!!!! to the bumbs and i replaced it thanks for wour concern my brother.
Now I am still ata loss here ! As far as I am concerned the most you can get out of a battery controlled circuit ( given the reg rec is ok ) should be about 14.3 volts max ( 15.5 for normal lead acid batterys )
Where on earth did that 18 volts come from ? Unless perhaps when he says a relay, it was a bad earth on the reg rec unit ?? I really do not know, but one thing is for sure, some Birds def seem to pop headlight lamps at a pretty quick rate
!
