Murt's has!
Just picture the scenario............
Final session of the "Skills" day
Murt had made progress very well - every session I saw this Cheshire Cat grin that told me Murt was REALLY enjoying himself.
Mentioned to him that despite his tiredness he should attack the final session with extra gusto - and so he did
The scene was set - and a plan was hatched!
20 Minutes later, Murt returns from his final session complete with usual Cheshire Cat impression
"I can tell you - given the old gal a damm good workout" and indeed he had
His BIRD was parked [conveniently] on the warm tarmac and ticking and clicking as it cooled down.
Rear Tyre was checked "Look at those phooking rubber bobbles - never had those before"
"LOOK - no more chicken strips" he continued..............
Ian Robbo distracted Murt's attention whilst I sneaked round the back - complete with bottle of mineral water in hand
Carfully aiming water bottle spout................
half a litre of Evian was carefully positioned on said warm tarmac directly under his BIRD's downpipes
Fuse was lit and I retired to a safe distance.
Ian Robbo " Look Murt - what the phook is THAT"
Murt "Err.................err................err..................BOLLOX"
Within nanoseconds Murt was on all four carefully examining underneath the bike.............
Murt "Bloody Hell - I was giving her some stick but *&*&?^&"^?&*%!^&"^&!%"
The effect of the warm tarmac and cooler mineral water had started to take it's toll and a steam was starting to appear as the water dried out - just adding to the realistic effect.
I walked away - Ian Robbo made fishing/reeling in motions and for all of 5 seconds Murt looked confused but totally bitten
YOU BASTIDS was all he could think of saying
Gotcha Murtie-boy - GOTCHA BIG TIME
and so to the end of a very satifying day not just for me [although I was the ONLY one removed from the track for going TOO FAST!!! - sad but true] but more beacuse it was great to see those who'd never done a track session before really improving their skills, safety and track speed
Cyclops - Top respect mate - the surgeons told you "if you come off - so to does the leg" but despite being outdrageed on the straight - you made up time on the bends
Ian Robbo - was an eye opener - I knew Ian could ride but what a hero [except when he missed his braking point and I sailed past - middle digit erect!!
Gyppo - good riding mate quick and smooth - how the hell did you manage to hold ya breath for 20 minutes? Damm those zips in your leathers are good quality
Tooti - you see you CAN do it!
Murt - Top wind up - top respect
Centaur - Great to meet you mate - you were making good "progress"
My old Mate Chunky - always knew he was a better rider than me - now he's proved it - money well invested dude!
Sorry if I've missed anyone!
Buzz has a few placed left for his last "Skills Day" late September - it's the best ?75 you'll ever spend on your bike
Bugger - my legs and back ache today though!
Great Day - great company
