I’ve spent what some consider silly money on items that interest me, so to each his own an’ all that.

However, I couldn’t imagine anyone other than a pro dropping £14k on a camera. My iPhone has taken some stunning pics so I’d rather put the change towards something else, like a Panagale.

There is no DSLR camera body out there at 14k.
It would be a top of the range pro flagship DSLR i.e.. Canon, Nikon, Leica body and at around 5k.
The rest would be a compatible prime pro lense around 8 to 10k.
Serious money to be lugging around and wasting it on his ugly mug.

I can't remember which video it was - maybe "Closer to the Edge", and the photographer was a professional,
taking stills/publicity shots, I suppose... Anyway - fourteen grand is what he said he'd paid.

Which would be about right for a body and lens. I mean, when the vast majority of people say they’re just popping out to buy a camera, they’re talking about the whole unit and not just a body or a lens. Fat load of good one is without the other.

I suppose it’s worth noting (before some cantankerous individual pipes up) that it could be possible that one pro photographer in conversation with another fellow professional might well say he’s going out to buy a camera and mean only the body. However, that would be obvious to both of them in the context of their geeky rapport.

16 to 20 frames per second continuous shooting, 1000 shots without buffering & continuous bursts of up to 180 large JPEG images (38 RAW) at 20.1 effective megapixels.
Ability to shoot 4k movies...blah blah blah...Price for body only...6,500k..ouch!
Serious overkill for the gutter press when taking ten zillion shots at a time for some half baked fuckwit in a suit spouting bullshit to the uncleansed..i.e. Boris.
I mean, how many feckin shots do you need from one sitting?
