But it’s less than £300 a week if he only needs a short term hire. Doesn’t have to worry about tax and insurance either. Maybe he’s not such a dickhead after all. Yes, he’s hired a BMW, which makes him a dickhead, but not as big a dickhead as you’re making out.

Better to hire a BMW and be a part time dickhead, rather than own one and be a full time dickhead.

Fact.

Ah the usual response rears it’s ugly head again, Andrew dickheads buy & drive BMW’s, fact other people laugh at them, it is not jealousy or envy, that is only your misguided perception, when my father died & left a bit of cash I was going to buy a brand new Goldwing, I was stood outside P&D in Wakefield looking at said bike with £18000 in my pocket, I walked away as I couldn’t justify chucking so much money at a bike.
When I went part time I was going to buy a Jaguar xf but again couldn’t justify splashing out so much money on something that does the same job as other cars, I will get a Jag xf but it will be when I retire & I won’t pay more than £15,000 for it.

I agree that some BMW drivers are the subject of ridicule, but not all of them. Same mentality as those twats that pour scorn on Skoda when they’re bloody good cars. I’d be in another Octavia vRS now if they hadn’t been attacked with an ugly stick

When you’re considering spending that sort of money on a car or bike, £3,000 is academic.

A colleague has just bought a Jag xf for £45000, for the privilege of losing thousands of pounds by driving it off the forecourt he is also handing over £3000 extra on his tax which will reduce slightly next year & the year after, is the prestige of owning a brand new car really worth it? If you have that much money to throw away then wouldn't it make more sense to buy a car that is a year or two older & donate the difference to help homeless veterans or something?

From the man who only a few days ago was bleating about being castigated for having a different opinion to others:jaja-no:

Your colleague was happy to spend £45k on a Jag...what's it got to do with you??

You wouldn't.

So what.

Freedom of choice??
