Destroyers look a bit different now to when I served on HMS Birmingham, I’m sure your Grandson will love his time in the RN, what branch is he?

Well that's one half of the fleet. The other half is in Pompey at the moment wondering whether it would be better to buy some old Harriers off the yanks.

Did my time when there was a fleet and drafts were plentiful and good ! I hope he enjoys it, it was my saviour !

Tot was stopped years ago, women now allowed on ships & smoking is banned.

The lad does not smoke ( never has ) and box's for the navy.
He absolutely loves it.. Already done full weapons training, and has got his ticket for piloting the rapid attack rapid response boats
He has been tipped for a fairly quick rise through the ranks
Oh, and like matlots through the ages, has totty lining up for him !
