Ian, I have got a similar mounting for mine but have found that once I have hardwired the mount in you cant remove it by simply unclipping the cables. A new version was supposed to be coming out I was told where you could simply unclip it and take the power mount off in case some scrotey weasel decides to rag it off when the bike is parked up.

ref "Lensman" we have that covered m8, Eddd has a socket "on it's way" and I intend utilising the same lead as I use on my wrap around "removable" heated grips, so will requre "just" another socket to match and it will be completely removable, :bow: and as I'm off to maplins today via "the lizard/snake" supply shop in leeds "again!!! :bang: two birds with one journey!! :}

I spliced the original cable that comes with the garmin and fitted a 3.5 jack, shrink wrapped it and made a job of it.. not had a full test onthe bike with it yet tho. thought that it looked bulky on my mates pan because he has that set up so decided to make my own lead..
I hard wired onto my bike and fitted a male/female connecter off some old bike indicators and made it so that you can unplug and take the bracket off with ease..

can someone (Ian) just take the top off that connector box and see if there are any resistors in there to ballance the out put impedance from using the speaker to the headphone please.. dont want to fry anything lol..

allso you can get a one into two splitter cable so that mono sound can be heard in both ears if you prefer that way

cheers.. Dave
