Got gatso'd this morning coming to work,
question???
The camera in question is set up for speed and red light jumping.
As I was travelling towards the lights they changed, I thought, shall I?shan't I? Ferk on with the anchors, diesel all over the road, shit!! off with brakes on again and stopped eventually.
Now the camera flashed twice, the second time I was on stop just after the white line but not through the red light. The gatso is activated with sensor strips in the road. Does anyone know if i have been done for speeding or light jumpin, have i got a defence, diesel etc..


any info greatly recieved.

Would it be possible to get photo's of the diesel spill? Then write the facts down, and that you could not stop at the line because of the diesel spill, bike, danger of sliding falling off, the fact that the lights do change at the moment of no return etc, may help if the Judge has got any sense.

If its a UK Judge you will get banned for 3 years with a ?1,000,000 fine. :bang:

If my memory serves me right the onlt real defence on this one is to say you were sneezing. This is an involuntary act which causes your eyes to close momentarily and is a defence. The Police may ask you in a round about way, really not obviously, and that is the only correct answer for crossing the lines.

You may have crossed the stop line but you stopped, I wouldn't worry. If you receive an NIP post again this will be easy to fight

Oh and the Sneezing defence is the defence of "Automatism".
