Before I stopped watching BBC programmes, probably the best comedy that I watched was breakfast news with the subtitles turned on.

I have to turn them on cos I can’t hear what they’re mumbling about half the time, shit pronunciation and bad sound management coupled with background mood music makes it almost incomprehensible at times.

Little known fact - almost all subtitles are done via voice recognition rather than keyboard input. It does make it amusing at times

We find we turn them on to most American stuff that we watch.

95% plus of background music is pointless and adds no value whatsoever. I watched a programme about a true life murder last night and there was background music on most of the time.:nusenuse:
